Religious Education

Classroom Religious Education

RE is taught for 10% of the weekly timetable. The curriculum is based on the delivery of the Curriculum Directory supported by the Margaret Carswell Units. We also teach other major faiths across the school in Multi-Faith Weeks that reflect the diverse world in which the children live.

RE is also a focus in our weekly newsletter.

Class Names

The School has chosen to name our classes with the names of Saints whom we feel represent the diverse culture of our School and which have special meaning for each class.  The Saints Day for each class will be celebrated and children can wear their own clothes on that day.  The children have created pictures of each Saint to look over their classes and have produced some fantastic work.

The Common Good

Fundraising

The School actively engages in charitable outreach which benefits not only those in need but our pupils by developing their social responsibility.  For the last academic year, we held fundraising events in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital, The Catholic Children's Society, Macmillan Nurses, Marie Curie Hospice and Jeans for Genes.

We are proud to have also supported the following charities in the last two years! CAFOD, Brent Food Bank, HCPT, Saint Vincent de Paul Society; Operation Christmas Child.

Last year, we raised over £1,300 through our Christmas and Lenten collections, coffee morning/afternoons, own clothes days and harvest assemblies.
