What is the Pupil Premium Grant?
The Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) is Government money designed to help disadvantaged children and young people do well at school. The funding is allocated to schools on the basis of the number of pupils on roll who were in receipt of free school meals (FSM) in January 2019 or for pupils who have ever been in receipt of FSM in the previous 6 years (Ever 6). For the financial years 2018-19 and 2019-20 schools will receive £1,320 for each such pupils. The school also receives £302.10 for each pupil entitled to the Early Years Pupil Premium (Nursery). Schools will also receive £2,300 for each looked-after pupil who has been looked after for 1 day or more, was adopted from care on or after 30 December 2005 or previously looked after pupil.
