  The School has achieved Healthy Schools Gold Award

  As part of our Healthy Schools Initiative we have now achieved the Gold Award as part of the Healthy Schools London Award. Our key priorities to achieve this award were:
  - To tackle childhood obesity through increased physical activity of all children throughout the day
  - To improve children's oral health throughout the school

  You will be supported as families to promote our Healthy School through
  - Healthy weekly tips in the newsletter
  - Healthy workshops for children and parents
  - Support information sent home on information of local dentists
  - Guest speakers at school

  Working towards and achieving the Family School Partnership Award has been an experience that has been invaluable in validating, consolidating and developing us as staff, parents and as a school: a whole 'Learning Community.

  We are delighted that our children have recently been accredited with the Eco-Schools Green Flag.  Eco-Schools is a charity passionate about engaging young people in environmental education and action.  Eco-Schools operates in 70 countries and engages 19.5 million young people globally. This makes Eco-Schools the largest educational programme on the planet.

  Our Lady of Grace has been awarded Music Mark School status for having a strategy for music in place which provides for all of our children, evidencing a willingness to engage in development conversations related to improving music provision and in recognition of the value of music education at the School as part of a broad and balanced curriculum.

  Our Lady of Grace is a Fairaware School - we teach pupils where their food comes from, what is meant by "fairness" and we look to evaluate how Fairtrade can work to address unfairness in supply chains

• Gold School Travel Plan
  Gold School Travel Plan

  Our Lady of Grace  gained the Transport for London Gold STARS travel award in November 2021. STARS - Sustainable Travel: Active, Responsible, Safe - is an accreditation scheme for schools, nurseries and colleges by Transport for London to inspire young Londoners to travel sustainably, actively, responsibly and safely. In doing this, STARS empowers children and improves the safety and wellbeing of the whole community. It also encourages active travel behaviour and improves the environment around the school.

  By receiving the Gold award, Our Lady of Grace is amongst the top 10% of London schools who set high standards to inspire others to transform travel habits, fully engage the wider community to promote best practices, and see a measurable reduction in the number of journeys made by car every day.
